Auntie Dian...a friend.
The arrival of baby Jian Xin has brought closer my relationships with many -
my mum, my brother, my in-laws
& Auntie Dian.
As Auntie Dian will be returning Home next week (after 5 years of diligent service),
this post will be dedicated to her.
My previous impression of Dian (before the birth of Jian Xin)
was that she was diligent & cheerful.
If you look at the clothes/bedsheets etc. that she has pressed,
you will be amazed at the Perfection she placed into ironing!
With the arrival of Baby Jian Xin,
our households appear to bustle with more life & activity...
Indeed it's rather amazing how the arrival of little baby
could somehow affect the surroundings/atmosphere.
We await in excitement upon seeing Baby's face & laughter.
My parents, my in-laws, Sam's grandparents await in excitement & cheer
to see Baby...
certainly not missing out Auntie Dian as well!
Hehe...Auntie Dian never fails to smile when she sees Baby!
She is always so lively whenever she plays with Baby...
which I wish I could be as well.
she comes up with creative ways to play with Baby -
hiding, placing toys on top of pillow & letting them fall like Humpty Dumpty,
stacking toys at a distance so that Baby could learn to crawl etc.
She is always chatty & interactive whenever she's with baby -
so Baby feels very happy & comfortable with her.
She is a great helper - in playing with baby, in feeding of meals, in bathing etc.
As Baby has bonded with her rather excellently...
so I could take a short break whenever Auntie Dian is around which I'm very thankful for.
Presently, Baby recognises Auntie Dian when she calls his name
& would squeal & bounce in delight when she plays with him at the doorstep.
I believe Auntie Dian would miss greatly -
Ah Gong, Ah Po & Baby.
Hmm she'll miss Baby - won't be able to see baby's 1st tooth,
baby's first stand, baby's first wave & clap...
unless Baby learns to wave/clap by next week.
Hmm...Baby will miss Auntie Dian as well.
Next time I shall share with baby about this Auntie who has brought much cheer to his life as a baby.
So will I miss Auntie Dian - a friend.
She has such a positive outlook towards life & matters
that I could model from...
Thank you for teaching me to cook my 1st porridge!
Thank you for cooking delicious meals for US!
Thank you for your diligence & efforts!
Thank you for putting Perfection to the work you do!
Thank you for your tolerance/accomodation when we fail to notify you not to come.
Thank you for sharing the joyful moments of baby's growing milestones!
Thank you for kindly helping to look after baby so that I can rest at times!
Thank you for chatting with me about TV shows - Zhu Meng, Korean Vietnamese Wife...
Thank you for being NOT less than a Friend!
Hmm will truly miss your lively presence around!
Nonetheless, I feel Happy that you will be returning home to pursue
your happiness - new family, new career etc.
May you have a blissful marriage!
May you continue to pursue your love for cooking!
Keep in touch through emails!
May you come to know the Lord...
Farewell for now...
